I want an electric guitar, and other stories by Kait.

So, in April I stole my dad’s acoustic guitar, and started teaching myself how to play it. I could pick out the opening of around seven or eight songs, but I couldn’t get any farther than that. Recently I have been thinking about investing in an electric guitar, because I’ve read so much about them a) being easier to play than acoustic guitars and b) if you want to play rock music, get a rock guitar… aka an electric.
So I was going to get one, as Mike recommended me this website (Musician’s Friend – it’s pretty sweet) and they have a starter package that I really want. It’s $100, and ships free. Unfortunately, I can’t get a black/white one, have to get sunburst because black/white isn’t available until July 17 and I want mine sooner than that. With that, I am also getting a $10 stand for my guitar, because I’ve read that you will be more motivated to play if the guitar is just sitting there plugged in and ready to go, as well as an adapter to plug normal headphones into it. I was very close to buying it last night, but I want my mom to split it with me. I can afford it and still have a good amount of money left, however, I really wanted her to split the external HD I got, and she didn’t, so I was hoping she might help me start off my new hobby. But she is iffy on it, so I’m not sure. So it’s not ordered yet, which sucks, hopefully I can convince her into getting it by Monday, cause I think it might make it here by Friday then.
I really want to learn to play.
In other news, Oblivion still hasn’t arrived. The seller said it was reshipped on Wednesday, so it should be here by Monday, I hope. RAWR.
I’m outtie.
