Packing, packing, and more packing.

Well, I’ve gotten pretty much all of my video games (the games themselves, that is) packed into some boxes, now. Packing my 360 games was slightly annoying, because I had to go through and pick the ones I wanted to keep out, since I won’t have this box for like a month and a half. Well, I ended up picking around 60 games to keep out. I’m probably going to play like five of them, haha. Oh well. At least I got some stuff done.

I took pictures of all the furniture I need to sell, and posted it on Craigslist. Hopefully I can get rid of it all, and make a buck as well. I took my DVD shelf out of my room today, and dismantled it somewhat, so it’s easier for whoever buys it to transport. Then, I dragged my dresser out of my closet, and put it in place of my DVD shelf.

I’m heading home for the weekend again, with some boxes of stuff in tow. I brought down pretty much all of my jackets from my closet, so those could be packed as well, since I probably won’t be needing them right now. I kept five of my favorites, which is still too much, I’m sure, but just in case it’s cold in Canada, I suppose? Ha.

I’m not sure what else to bring home on this trip. It’s tough deciding, and it’s also tough stuffing a bunch of boxes into a tiny little Mustang. I guess we’ll see what I can manage.

I’ve been invited to write for this news site. I’m kind of excited, since I’ve wanted to start writing “professionally” (please take heed of my quotations), and this is a great chance to do it. I can write pretty much whatever I want, so I’m pretty stoked. I also haven’t written in either of my fanfictions in over a month, plus I have an idea for a REALLY short one in my head as well. So I suppose I could put some work into those, maybe after I shoot out a few articles for this website.

Yes, I realize there’s still nothing on this site, I’m actually working on it now. I’m tweaking the theme’s colors and style and such, to get it how I want it, for now. There’s a chance that I may create my own theme from scratch sometime, but I just don’t have the time right now. So for now, this is the basic gist of how my blog will look. I’ll soon get some pages up on the right sidebar, and some subsites. We’ll see where I decide to put my time.

To Do list?

So obviously I haven’t really done a lot of work on this site as of yet, but I plan to. Either way, I figured I’d update a little post on my current To Do list for the coming weeks. I’m at my parents’ house right now, so I can’t do most, if any of these things, but here’s my list anyway.

  1. Pack. Pack pack pack.

    Mostly at this moment in time, I’m referring to my DVDs and games, then soon after that, clothes. I need to choose which games I want to keep out, then pack up all the cases. Same with the DVDs, although I don’t really watch a lot of hard copies anymore, so I probably won’t keep any of those out. Anyway, once I’m done with that, all the games/DVDs that aren’t mine will end up on the gameshelf in the living room, in an organized fashion.

    Then comes the clothes. I have to go through, and get all my winter clothes put together, and in bins/bags. I hate packing clothes, because you never know when you’re going to need that one shirt or pair of pants. Of course, when you live somewhere that is habitually 99° F, it makes things a little easier.

  2. Sell!

    Once I’m done clearing off my DVD shelf, I have to take pictures of it, as well as my mini-fridge, desk chair, kitchen table/chairs and little office drawer set, and post them on Craigslist. Can’t really travel with all that crap, so my best bet is to make a few bucks off of it.

  3. Mount Brie’s TV

    Well, since I’ll no longer be living in my apartment, unless a miracle happens, I guess I should probably give Brie her TV back. We mounted on my wall literally a month before she moved in and drama happened, and we just never traded back, so she has had mine the entire year. Luckily, the holes are already drilled in her room, I just need to actually mount the TV. That’ll be a good surprise for her when she gets home. Will also return her DVD player, since that’s been in my room as well.

  4. School

    School has been slightly pissing me off lately, as I’m not sure where to go anymore. I have one more summer class this summer, Operations Management, so I need to try and get an A in that to boost my GPA some. Not only that, but I do have to figure out what to do with my life, and send transfer credit assessment applications, as well as regular applications to schools up north, just in case. Too bad those transfer credit assessments are outrageously expensive. I’m going to be really upset if my stuff doesn’t end up transferring.

  5. Health

    I started working out really well with Caitlan for about a week, then Brie got back and I became lazy again. I plan on working out every day this month, to get back into shape. My original plan was to work out with her in the early afternoon, hang out at the pool for a while, come home, do whatever, then get an evening run in every night. Hopefully that will shoot my metabolism back up as well.

  6. Finish the website!

    Last, but not least, I need to get my site up and running again. Obviously, my blog is a start, but there’s so much more I want to do with it. I want to document things, maybe recreate the photo album I had on my old site, write, etc. I want it to be a good Kait site, without being too redundant or anything of the sort.

Anyway, that’s my crazy To Do list. I have a lot of stuff coming up in July, and so many things depend on what’s going to happen with my life next month. Just trying to take it one day at a time.

A fresh start

I’ve finally decided on reopening my website as a new blog. I’m currently working on a theme to replace this default one, and I may or may not post until I’m finished with that.

I’ll probably just use this blog to follow any projects or conquests I decide to partake in. I feel as if keeping a constant record/blog of everything I do might motivate me to finish anything I’ve started, or start new things!

Some more pages and things will be up soon. Hopefully the theme will be finished soon as well!
