Bored summer.

So I forgot I had this for a moment, and didn’t update it. Not too much has happened in the past week or so. I got my Guitar on Friday, which is totally awesome, and I love it. I’ll put up a picture of it sometime. I can play a few openings on it, hopefully I can find a whole song to learn and memorize. It is sick.

Umm. I completed all the achievements for Assassin’s Creed today on X360. Pretty pumped about that. At the end I thought I wasn’t going to get one of them, but it happened at pretty much the last possible minute, so yay for that!

Abby is coming tomorrow to spend a night with me, that is exciting. I haven’t seen her since May! That should be fun, I think we are going to see The Proposal tomorrow sometime, which I am pumped for. Then in 13 days, I will be in Charlotte for a week! SO EXCITED!

That’s basically all I have to talk about? The money that was stolen from my CC still has not been reimbursed, kinda mad about that… hopefully soon?

That’s about it. Bye!

Electric Guitar on its way, however, with every good there’s a bad… or two.

So, I finally ordered my guitar, yay, exciting! I got the one I linked to in my previous post, but sunburst not black/white. I am so pumped to get it, I really want to start learning. It’s going to be so much fun.

But like I said, with every good, there’s a bad. And in my case, two. First off: My credit card had some fraudulent activity on it… $70 worth of fraudulent activity. I googled the merchant, and millions of people have been scammed/whatever by this company. I don’t know how I was scammed, as I don’t know how my number got out? But whatever, I have a new card on its way, and we sent in a dispute today, so I should be credited for my money back soon.

Second bad thing? My Xbox 360 is starting to die, I think. I got it in November of 2007… so I haven’t had it for very long. But I have had five freezes in the past two days during CODWAW online matches. I’m not sure if that’s just COD, but I wouldn’t imagine it was, since it freezes, and I have to wait for a second, then press the power button on my Xbox to turn it off. I sure hope it doesn’t die… that’s $300 I don’t have right now, although I think/hope/pray my mom would help me out. So boo… keep my dying Xbox in your thoughts!

I saw Rachel yesterday, for the first time in five months! Shoot me in the face, it was exciting! Her and her mom came over and saw the house, then we went and got a bite to eat at The Filling Station. It was really good, I had a really yummy sandwich. It was fun, and much needed, and I’m happy I got to see her!

In other friends news, Abby might be coming to visit me next week! We might be going to a Waterpark here in Greensboro, but if not, she’s still coming to visit, so that will be fun to see more human life (i.e. not my parents) this summer. Then I go to Charlotte the 13th! I get to see so many people and it’s going to be great, and fantastic, and wonderful, and I miss my friends!

Well, I am going to go keep playing COD, and hoping my Xbox stops freezing. Peace out homies!

I want an electric guitar, and other stories by Kait.

So, in April I stole my dad’s acoustic guitar, and started teaching myself how to play it. I could pick out the opening of around seven or eight songs, but I couldn’t get any farther than that. Recently I have been thinking about investing in an electric guitar, because I’ve read so much about them a) being easier to play than acoustic guitars and b) if you want to play rock music, get a rock guitar… aka an electric.

So I was going to get one, as Mike recommended me this website (Musician’s Friend – it’s pretty sweet) and they have a starter package that I really want. It’s $100, and ships free. Unfortunately, I can’t get a black/white one, have to get sunburst because black/white isn’t available until July 17 and I want mine sooner than that. With that, I am also getting a $10 stand for my guitar, because I’ve read that you will be more motivated to play if the guitar is just sitting there plugged in and ready to go, as well as an adapter to plug normal headphones into it. I was very close to buying it last night, but I want my mom to split it with me. I can afford it and still have a good amount of money left, however, I really wanted her to split the external HD I got, and she didn’t, so I was hoping she might help me start off my new hobby. But she is iffy on it, so I’m not sure. So it’s not ordered yet, which sucks, hopefully I can convince her into getting it by Monday, cause I think it might make it here by Friday then.

I really want to learn to play.

In other news, Oblivion still hasn’t arrived. The seller said it was reshipped on Wednesday, so it should be here by Monday, I hope. RAWR.

I’m outtie.

Not much to update on. I got a bunch of new furniture for my room today, which is cool. I got a night table (well two, but one is acting as a small dresser), a headboard with storage space, a big dresser, and a hutch to put on the dresser. It looks nice, and my room looks more like a room now!

I also stole my parents’ old DVD player and put it in my room, and had the power cord, but then I lost it again, stupid Kait. I want to find the remote, too. But yeah, my room is finally starting to look good.

I really have nothing to talk about. My life is boring. I still haven’t received Oblivion *fume*. I’ve been playing a lot of Sega Tennis though… I love that game. It’s just like Mario Tennis, but with Sega characters. Love. It.

I’m bored of typing now. K bye!

So I went to the Taylor Swift concert last night, and it was wonderful. Gloriana and Kellie Pickler opened for her. Before the concert, I got to go to the vibe room, which is basically for radio people and what not, there’s a TV, couches, food, etc to hang out, then Taylor came in and spend time with us. I got another picture with her, and this was my second time meeting her which was cool. She always gives great big hugs, before, during, and after the picture. And is so sweet. As usual. It was fun though. She had an Xbox Elite on her traveling media thing! As well as a Foosball table of her own. It was pretty sick.

Sexy, I know. But the concert was great, and enjoyable. We had really good seats… left of the stage (not floor), about 5 rows up. It was great.

Hanging out with Mike tonight, yay for food, and fifa, and what not. Also, one of my summer classes that isn’t supposed to start until July 6th, I can now take every test/quiz in it except for the final. So I basically can start now, which is nice.

I don’t have much to write about… still getting millions of friend requests and messages on Xbox Live which is annoying… but a few people have been cool, and I’m talking with 2 people right now about starting a clan which could be awesome! But yes, anyway, that’s it. Sweet, dude.

Cried my eyes out this morning (not really) to the loss of Sir Sexyman Himself.

So yes, I have an undying love for Ronaldo stashed somewhere in my heart, and he is now on his way to Madrid to play for the Galacticos. When I read it, I think my jaw dropped, and it actually did bring tears to my eyes, since well, he is my boy. 2 Manchester United jerseys with his name on the back, which are my two favorite jerseys because they are longsleeved.. will I look silly wearing those now?

At least it’s Real… I guess. They are my favorite Spanish team, and have many players who also have small minute places in my heart (RVN, Robben, now Kaka)… it still saddens me though. I was hoping he might be the next player like Giggsy to spend all his time (besides the Sporting Libson days) at one club. He was loved, and is still loved by me… but it hurts, Cristi, it hurts!

In other news, yesterday, while playing Unreal Tournament 3 on my 360, I started getting some random friend requests… I was a little confused at first, until I remembered about submitting my nomination for being in the Gamer Spotlight on Xbox.com. Well, here it is: Trixie Interviews kroberts11. It’s rather hilarious, as I have gotten over 100 friend requests, and over 400 messages now. I had originally added everyone who added me, until I realized there is a cap on friends. So I went though today, and only kept people I thought were cool/played FIFA. I am still getting more, and as yesterday was my first day on the Gamer Spotlight, I still have until next Wednesday to be displayed… great. It’s pretty cool though… being famous for a week is fun!

Oblivion still hasn’t arrived, unfortunately for me :( . Xbox Live Arcade/Sega Superstars got here today, though. I haven’t played too much, just a 5min game of Pacman, which was fun. I realized today, while reading the Oblivion listing, that it comes with some sort of Game book too. I don’t know if the seller meant a guide or what, but that’ll be sweet if I get that as well. Hoping it gets here tomorrow.

Annnd, I have to go blow $100 today at Best Buy… I need a portable hard drive before my computer dies, as it only has around 2gb of space left. So I am going today, as there is a deal on a lot of them. 400gb Western Digital sexy black for $100. Yay Best Buy, and I get Reward Zone points for it, lucky me.

I am not spending any more money, ahhh!

That’s about it. I get to see my best friend tomorrow… Taylor Swift, haha. Awesome. The show is soldout so that’s pretty cool, since I get free tickets and what not *brag*. Lucky me. Well, that’s all.

I haven’t posted in a while… because I’ve not had much to talk about. Boring life I lead.

Yesterday Noah and I hung out. We went to Applebee’s which was delicious, then headed out to the mall. Walked all three floors of that, and walked out empty handed. Which sucks, because we went to the pet store, and I found 3 miniature schnauzers, 2 ferrets, and a few bunnies that I wanted.

Then we went and picked up a few things that I had wanted from Craigslist ads. The first one was fine, because I met the guy at a Walmart, and he came with his wife, and they were adorable. But the other guy, we had to drive to this sketch… apartment like housing unit thing… with this sketch ass dude, to pick up the stuff. It was sketch sketch sketch. But it’s over now… lesson learned: always meet at a public place.

I’m just watching Remember the Titans now… waiting for a few more games to arrive. I received Unreal Tournament 3, as well as the 3 empty cases I ordered. Just waiting on Oblivion/Sega Tennis Superstars/Xbox Live Arcade.

So, there are two things I really want. But I don’t want to spend anymore money. But I think at the end of the summer I’m going to buy either a 60 or 120 gb HD, just to have, because I am a nerd. Mine is half full, and slowly decreasing, which scares me. Especially since games are starting to come out again around school starting.

Something I need, basically tomorrow, is a portable harddrive. I have been keeping a watch on my memory on my computer, because, like an idiot, when I customized it I didn’t even THINK of upgrading my hd. So I have literally around 3gb left on my fricking hard drive, which sucks because I know new music will never stop coming out, I want to download some games, but I have no space! I am hoping I can somehow convince my mom to get me one, so I don’t have to pay for it… but I’m not sure how possible that is.

Oh yeah, I lied, I can’t count. Three things actually. Half of it is my dad’s, but I need to place an order on my cart on MonoPrice.com, which includes 2 HDMI cables for me, one for him, and 2 VGA cables, one for each of us. But it’s like $30. Which I don’t feel like spending. BLAH!

Oh, and just to complain some more, because I can, my back is wrecked. I’m not sure if I slept funny, or sat funny, or what, but ever since last night it’s been really hurting… blah. Oh well. Hopefully it’s just a kink and stops hurting soon.

I’m tired.

E3: Day 2 – almost a failure until around 10 minutes ago.

So I almost hated Nintendo today. Until around 10 minutes ago, Joystiq posted a blog about the new Zelda being announced at a developers meeting. YAY! That makes me happy.. can’t wait til 2010.

Other than that, Nintendo in a nutshell: New Super Mario Bros Wii = good, Super Mario Galaxy 2 = alright, I never finished the first one though. Those are basically the only things I really cared about. Everything else was.. meh.

Sony, MAG is cool, FF13, MGS for the PSP. The new PSP is cool but I won’t get one, mine works fine. FF14 was a cool surprise.  And of course, their motion controller, because everyone has to have one.

I don’t really have much to say, because I didn’t do much today… haha rhymes. I’m downloading a bunch of demos on my PS3 so I have something to do on it. Those being: inFAMOUS, MGS4, Killzone 2, Resistance: Fall of Man, and rock Band Unplugged for PSP. I also bought some games on eBay the other day, those being: Sega Superstars Tennis, Oblivion, Xbox Live Arcade Compilation, and Unreal Tournament III. Should be good times. I also decided I think I’m gonna start playing GoW since I never really have. Yay.

Sweet, dude.

E3: Day 1, a complete success in my book.

Ho-lee crap. Microsoft. Wow. So many things coming out in the future omg omg omg. CODMW2 looks AMAZING. That Tony Hawk thing is pretty cool. Facebook and Twitter on Xbox = LOVE. Project Natal+Milo, WOW. METAL GEAR SOLID, WOW!

It is so crazy that so many Sony exclusives are going to the 360… the best ones, no less. A little scary for Sony fans, no? I will still purchase FF13 for PS3 because I’m weird/loyal like that. I’m planning on getting the whole MGS series as well, so I will probably keep that to PS3 as well. But dang. Sony better be beast tomorrow at their press conference! Can’t wait to seeee it! If Nintendo doesn’t announce a new Zelda, I will cry myself to sleep tomorrow night.

In other news, I had a terrible morning. Dad came in at 8:20ish to tell me that the DirecTV guy would be here to install our satelite, so I should probably move all my crap out of the way in my room. So I got up, did that, and got back into bed. When I realized, the guy is probably going to be in my room, right? So I moved to the guest room where we don’t put a DirecTV receiver. Well, 2 seconds later, my dad comes in, flips the light switch on and looks for something *facepalm*. Then, he has to put Sadie somewhere, so he locks her in the master bathroom… the master bedroom is right next to the guest room. So all I hear is Sadie whining, crying, yiping, barking, being annoying. Needless to say, I woke up at 8:40 today.

After I got up, I was quickly recruited to help with the last load from the old house… as I was last night as well. But, we are officially out! Thank goodness, I was so sick of going back there. Now all we have to do is unpack, and we’re done. And now there is satelite, so yay for TV!

I get to see Mike this week, yay. Food, and soccer, and FIFA, and food, and music, and Mike!

And hopefully I get paid this week, too.

Sweet, dude.

I feel like I lost the State Championship again.

Last night was pretty hard to watch. Ardrey Kell Women’s soccer played their hearts out, and played some amazing soccer against Leesville. I couldn’t believe it myself, but they lost in PKs. I hate that. It felt like I had lost again. We played so well. It’s so tough to see people I care about in such bad shape. I held around 10ish crying bodies last night. It just breaks my heart. They deserved it so much. Not saying Leesville didn’t, but man, my Knights deserved it so much. It sucks that they couldn’t pull it out. I saw a lot of amazing people that I care about last night… it was really fantastic. It also put into perspective again how much I actually miss AK and those people. I miss my team, I miss Jeff, I miss Ms. Lynch. Next year I need to make it to more games… but people who started out as freshman with me, will be seniors this year. And people who started out as freshman  my senior year will be juniors this year. I’ve only got so much more time to watch them play. Which I need to do. I saw Bucky last night too, which was awesome. I miss that guy a lot.

I’m probably just going to work on the games room and my room today. I hope I don’t have to go help bring anything else over from the new house. I don’t want to go back there anymore. I just want to stay here and start living again. E3 starts tomorrow! I can’t wait to watch it! I love love love watching the game company presentations, and yes I am a nerd.

Not much else to write about… sweet, dude.
