Sooo now that summer is almost here (1 more exam), I am going to be able to play video games even more often than normal. Since this is the case, I have decided to use this summer to try and alphabetically or semi-alphabetically complete every Xbox 360 game I have. This includes beating the main story, as well as getting every achievement I can. I may fail, stumble, and screw up along the way, and due to some achievements being unattainable anymore (thanks, EA..), and pure awful impossible achievements, I may not complete every game to its full extent. However, I am going to do my best, and we’ll see how it turns out!
I will probably have a few games going at once, because I am constantly working on CODs and sports games. I may jump around a lot, but I plan to build a new blog to log my accomplishments, challenges and frustrations with this attempt at completing games.
Anyway, I will post when the new blog is up, and we will see what happens.
PS, another 3 month hiatus, I rule at blogging, yo.
So I know I don’t update much, so here is one sporadic update for everyone who doesn’t read this.
School is going okay. Sort of. Accounting, not so great. Econ, not so great. Computer science, first test tomorrow. CS Lab, easy. Computer concepts, annoying, nearly okay, but fine for now. Spanish, fine. School is okay, but like I said, not great.
Other parts of life are okay. The Olympics are going on right now, and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I am enjoying video game life. And I’m enjoying technology life.
And I need to go to bed now. So that was my fantastic update. Hoorah!
So I realize I always forget to write in this. Like I said, now that I’ve discovered Windows Live Writer, I’m going to try and make it a more daily thing again like I used to have it. Sooo what’s been going on since my last update?
Fall 09 semester is over. My finals went pretty well, though I’m still a little peeved about one course. My final grades were as follows:
Principles of Accounting I: B
Microeconomics: B
Elementary Spanish I: A
Intermediate French II: A
Business Calc: C
Intro to Business Programming: B
With a grand total of 3.208 GPA, keeping my cumulative GPA at a 3.21. So, about that stupid test that brought my GPA down.
In Intro to Business Programming, I basically bombed the 2nd test, due to some misunderstanding of some questions. I calculated my grade, and saw that if I made 100% on the final, I could still get an A in the class. Well I worked my ass off on that final (online, at home), I spent about two hours on it, reading over every question, looking things up to make sure I was right, etc, etc. My programs were done beautifully, blah blah. Well, I got a 98%, missing one question, because I SECOND GUESSED MYSELF. Epic fail, yes? No A for me.
Winter break has been pretty good so far. Played a lot of Xbox. My parents got me an Elite for Christmas, since they knew my Xbox PRO has been giving me shit lately. It’s really nice, but I have to wait to get back to my apartment (Saturday!) to transfer everything to my new HD, since you can’t get free transfer kits anymore (stupid Microsoft). I got a few new games for Christmas, Dragon Age and Band Hero. Both pretty sweet. Some money, like 6 new North Face half zips, and some other random clothes.
Haven’t done much but lay around and be lazy though. I 100%ed both Assassin’s Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2, holler! AC2 was such an amazing game, and I am sitting here just waitttting for the DLC to come out, because I want to play some more. MW2, I kind of finished without permission. The only achievement I had left was Star 69 (Complete every Spec-Ops mission on veteran, aka 3 stars). Well, Brie and I beat Wet Work finally maybe Christmas eve-ish, and I was so sick of staring at one mission. Well, I kinda decided to try the single player 2 minute run though again of Snatch and Grab, where all you do is throw flash bangs until you get to the intel, without killing anybody excessively, grabbing the intel, and jumping off the plane. Once you are off the plane, you are home free because the game doesn’t spawn anyone over there for one of two reasons A) you were too fast, or B) You didn’t kill anyone behind you.
So I beat it in like 1:30, got my achievement, pissed off my best friend, anddd that was that. I bought her Peggle to make her feel better, and promised her I would help her beat SnG though. Oh, I also bought Peggle… and Battlefield 1943 (not that great)… and Gin Rummy, hahaha.
Not too much going on for the rest of my break. Tonight I am going bowling with my rents in their league, so that should be fun. Then all that’s really left for the week is spending some last moments with them, getting my haircut, and packing up. I go back on Saturday afternoon, and I start classes on Monday. My schedule still isn’t set, and hopefully it will be my Monday, or else my schedule is going to look so awful.
Here’s how it is right now:
Elementary Spanish II MW 12:30
Macro Econ MW 2:00
Principles of Accounting II MW 3:30 (this is trying to get changed)
Intro to Computer Science TR 11:00-11:50, F 11:00 lab
Annd an online course, Intro to Computer Concepts
My only problem is, as nice as it would be to only have a 50 minute class on TR, I want Accounting to be at 12:30 on TR as well. But that class is still full, and I can’t get a permit into it. I don’t want to take it on that Monday, because I’m going til 3:15 as it is, I don’t want to have to go any longer than that. The only other times were 8am and 6:30pm, so basically I’m screwed. My other option was to not take it this semester, and take it in the 2nd summer session, but I’m trying to figure out what is better: Every MW from 3:30-4:45, or every day from 11:30-1:00 during the summer.
I DON’T KNOW. But hopefully I’ll get it figured out the right way soon.
Well, that’s about it for now, peace out homies.
So, I haven’t blogged in a really long time. However, now that I have Windows 7, and it apparently has this cool feature called “Windows Live Writer,” where I don’t have to go back to the website every time to update, I think I might start again.
A lot has happened, but not really. I turned 19 yesterday, it was great. My mom got me a bunch of Panthers stuff, and four Xbox games (FIFA 10, Madden 10, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, and Prototype). My grandma on my dad’s side sent me $50, and my mom’s side of the family usually sends their birthday stuff with Christmas, so I will be getting that in a few weeks.
I’m here until Monday morning, then I go back to school for three more weeks. I come back on the 20th, and I’m here til like the 10th.
I don’t really feel there’s much to write about, so I’m going to stop, but maybe I will get back into blogging… maybe.
Peace out homies.
So the AC Milan vs Club America game was freaking amazing. I had so much fun, even though ACM lost. My mom got me an AC Milan jersey too, which is totally sick. It was so crazy to see all those players that I’ve always watched on TV play. Ronaldinho was a lazy ass, of course, but it was still pretty cool… he did have 15 seconds of trickery that was amazing. It was just so much fun, I LOVED IT! We took a subway there which was the first time I had ever really been on one, and it was PACKED. Coming home was ridiculous because so many people crammed on them. I didn’t even hold onto anything just because there were so many people around me, I was safely packed in haha.

My obligatory no zoom picture, we had really good seats!
The next day we went to the Atlanta Braves vs San Fransisco Giants game. We got to go to the 755 Club for lunch, which is like a big suite, which had a pretty sweet (haha, I’m funny I know) view. We watched the first 3 innings from there while we ate, then headed to our seats, which were RIDICULOUS! They were about 10 rows behind the San Fran dugout.

They were so beast. It was so hot out though. But we left around the bottom of the 7th when it was tied 1-1, and the Braves ended up losing 5-1, oops.
We went to a really nice dinner that night at this Cajun place, where I had Snapper for the first time. It was really good. The waiters/manager there were super nice, and friendly, so it was a good good dinner.
I got home on Friday, after doing a little bit of shopping at the Tanger Outlet in GA. I got 4 new pairs of shorts (2 each from adidas/Nike stores) and a beautiful new Celtic Nike jacket. It is SO awesome. It was definitely a good time.
On Saturday I got my Army of Two game, and I’ve been playing it with Brie. It’s such a sick game, I’m pumped to get the new one when it comes out. It is a lot of fun. Playing Co-Op is so much fun too. It’s something I’ve never really done, but when you play with someone you know, it is SO awesome!
Oh, and I am trying to sell my Television so I can get a new one… but it’s not going so hot at the moment. I just want a bigger one for my bedroom at the apartment so I can see a little better, and be a little sexier. Abby may by it, but I’m not sure yet. We’ll see?
OH. Bowling last night was amazing, too. My parents bowl weekly, and I got to go with them yesterday. I improved the whole night, 109, 113, 153 (my highest ever!) for a total of 375. My previous highest was 118 in one game which was awesome. And I got 5 strikes in a row in the final game (including striking out the 10th frame) which was crazy because I’ve never gotten more than two strikes before. It was awesomeeee!
Right now the DirecTV guy is here attempting to fix my satellite >_< hopefully it works. School is going alright, I’ve got 100% in my grade replacement class, and an 89 in my Western class. Another Western test on Friday, so hopefully it goes back up to an A.
I should stop rambling now.. peaceeeee yo!
Sooo my current location is Myrtle Beach, SC. Spending time with the family, before we head on to Georgia to see AC Milan vs Club America on Wednesday, and the Atlanta Braves vs whoever they play on Thursday.
I just spent the past week in Charlotte with my friends, which was amazing. I stayed at Chris’s apartment by school, and just hung out. I spent most of the time with Chris, Mike, Brie and Abby, and I also saw Finkey and Erica for dinner. It was all around a good week and very enjoyable! And I needed it!
I left yesterday, and drove straight to Myrtle, where I am trying to get some color on my very snow white skin. We’re leaving Wednesday morning to head to ATL, then going back to Greensboro on Friday. I may be going to the zoo on Saturday too, so yay!
I also just recently ordered Army of Two for 360, I wonder how that’s going to be? I guess I’ll find out when I get home.
Not much else to talk about… I got my apartment number/roommates for next year. My apt number is my birthday, 1126, HA. It’s a second floor, and I got the bedroom I wanted. Abby and I are living together, and then our other two roommates are a 22 and 28 year old :O. It should be interesting, but hopefully they are cool
. Brie is in the next building over as well, so that will be fun. My building, Brie’s building and Chris’s building make a little triangle so we are all close!
I can’t wait to move in, I’m so pumped!
I keep forgetting to update, but not much is happening, so I guess it’s kinda alright? I’ve been playing so much CODWAW this weekend because of Double XP weekend. Yay for that. Ummm… I almost ordered Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection today, and then decided against spending money… so I am jealous of Brie because she ordered it, that buttface! I did however, order (with my mom’s credit card, whee) 2 HDMI cables for my PS3/360 and a VGA cable, which will be muy exciting.
I decided that, since I probably will not be getting a new TV anytime soon, as much as I want one, I am going to mount my TV when I get to the apartment. I have finally come to a compromise with myself… the original big problem was the fact that my TV is small, so I can’t really play video games from my bed. It’s not terribly small (26″) but my eyesight is rotten, so I can’t see super small stuff, even with glasses on. Anyway, it would also suck because I can’t have it too low (I play video games from a gaming chair on the floor), because then I can’t watch TV/Movies from my bed. But if I have it too high, I can’t see my games because the angle is too weird. So anyway, my compromise is that I am going to get a wall mount that pans/tilts, so I can get the best of both worlds. It should be sweet, and I’m excited.
In other news, I am trying once again, to sell my Nike Vapor IVs, because I bought them last summer, and only wore them once… and that was just a stupid purchase of mine. I was just really excited to get a pair of green cleats, and I dunno. I don’t have a problem keeping them, just because I am a nerdy boot collector, but I can hopefully make around $80+ on them… so I hope it works out?
Summer school is interesting. I’m taking two online classes, one of which opened like a month ago, the other one opens tomorrow. Western Civ/History seems pretty easy, just listen/view these online lecture/powerpoints, take notes, and ace the tests. On the other hand, I just got the syllabus and information for my other class (Science, Technology and Society – a class I am retaking because I failed it in the fall, oops…), and it is going to be easy, just a LOT OF WORK. I have to blog (not here, obviously) three times a week about technology articles I find, and do outside research to help empower my blog entry, how exciting. So my grade is basically just based on 3 blogs a week, replying to other peoples’ blogs, and a final 25% paper. Blah. It’s easy, just a lot of work.
Abby came and visited me on Tues/Wed which was awesome. We went and saw The Proposal which was an amazing movie, at a very sketch theater here. I didn’t know it was sketch, and we were so excited when our tickets were only $4… and then we walked in… haha it was really sketch as hell at first, but then it got better when more people showed up. But that was a good movie, and I loved it, and it’s one of those that I will probably buy as soon as it comes out, yay.
My July will start getting perfect in about a week. On the 13th, I go to Charlotte, which will be amazing. Then the 19th, my parents are picking me up and we are driving to Myrtle Beach, and staying til the 21st or early on the 22nd. Then we head to Atlanta, GA for the AC Milan vs Club America game on the 22nd, then the Atlanta Braves game the next night. It should be good, and I am excited.
About a month and a week until move in day! That will be exciting as well… apartment living is going to be very nice.
That’s about it… peace out homies.
PS – Manchester United bought Michael Owen! :O
So I forgot I had this for a moment, and didn’t update it. Not too much has happened in the past week or so. I got my Guitar on Friday, which is totally awesome, and I love it. I’ll put up a picture of it sometime. I can play a few openings on it, hopefully I can find a whole song to learn and memorize. It is sick.
Umm. I completed all the achievements for Assassin’s Creed today on X360. Pretty pumped about that. At the end I thought I wasn’t going to get one of them, but it happened at pretty much the last possible minute, so yay for that!
Abby is coming tomorrow to spend a night with me, that is exciting. I haven’t seen her since May! That should be fun, I think we are going to see The Proposal tomorrow sometime, which I am pumped for. Then in 13 days, I will be in Charlotte for a week! SO EXCITED!
That’s basically all I have to talk about? The money that was stolen from my CC still has not been reimbursed, kinda mad about that… hopefully soon?
That’s about it. Bye!
So, I finally ordered my guitar, yay, exciting! I got the one I linked to in my previous post, but sunburst not black/white. I am so pumped to get it, I really want to start learning. It’s going to be so much fun.
But like I said, with every good, there’s a bad. And in my case, two. First off: My credit card had some fraudulent activity on it… $70 worth of fraudulent activity. I googled the merchant, and millions of people have been scammed/whatever by this company. I don’t know how I was scammed, as I don’t know how my number got out? But whatever, I have a new card on its way, and we sent in a dispute today, so I should be credited for my money back soon.
Second bad thing? My Xbox 360 is starting to die, I think. I got it in November of 2007… so I haven’t had it for very long. But I have had five freezes in the past two days during CODWAW online matches. I’m not sure if that’s just COD, but I wouldn’t imagine it was, since it freezes, and I have to wait for a second, then press the power button on my Xbox to turn it off. I sure hope it doesn’t die… that’s $300 I don’t have right now, although I think/hope/pray my mom would help me out. So boo… keep my dying Xbox in your thoughts!
I saw Rachel yesterday, for the first time in five months! Shoot me in the face, it was exciting! Her and her mom came over and saw the house, then we went and got a bite to eat at The Filling Station. It was really good, I had a really yummy sandwich. It was fun, and much needed, and I’m happy I got to see her!
In other friends news, Abby might be coming to visit me next week! We might be going to a Waterpark here in Greensboro, but if not, she’s still coming to visit, so that will be fun to see more human life (i.e. not my parents) this summer. Then I go to Charlotte the 13th! I get to see so many people and it’s going to be great, and fantastic, and wonderful, and I miss my friends!
Well, I am going to go keep playing COD, and hoping my Xbox stops freezing. Peace out homies!
